What Companions Can Do
Act For You
Act For You
Your Companion can do more than think and research—it can take actions on websites, performing tasks that would otherwise require your manual effort.
Agent Mode
In Agent Mode, your Companion becomes an agent that can interact with web pages:
- Click buttons and links
- Fill out forms
- Scroll and navigate
- Select options from menus
- Submit information
You stay in control. Your Companion will ask for confirmation before taking significant actions, and you can stop it at any time.
Click, Scroll, and Navigate Automatically
Your Companion can navigate websites just like you would:
- "Go to the pricing page"
- "Click on the first search result"
- "Scroll down and find the specifications section"
- "Open each of these links in new tabs"
This is especially useful for:
- Navigating complex websites
- Gathering information from multiple pages
- Performing repetitive navigation tasks
Perform Multi-Step Tasks End to End
Your Companion can complete entire workflows, not just individual actions:
- "Fill out this contact form with my information"
- "Add these items to my cart"
- "Download all the PDFs on this page"
- "Sign up for this service using my details"
The more specific you are, the better your Companion can help. Provide the information it needs, and it will handle the execution.
Example: Completing a Repetitive Task
Imagine you need to collect data from multiple similar pages—perhaps product details from several listings, or contact information from a directory.
You could ask:
"Go through each of these 10 product pages and extract the name, price, and key specifications into a table."
Your Companion will:
- Visit each page in sequence
- Extract the requested information
- Compile everything into a structured format
- Present the results to you
What would take you 30 minutes of clicking and copying takes your Companion just a few minutes.
Finally, we will look at how your Companion can work even when you are not there.
